Brian Froelich, AICP
Brian Froelich serves as the Vice President of Development for Shashi Group, responsible for overseeing development opportunities and projects.
Brian brings more than a decade of experience with city planning and development to his role with Shashi Group. As a native of the South Bay Area, he understands the changing needs of the community and offers unique insight into the region’s continually unfolding opportunities. Prior to joining Shashi Group, Brian worked in the City Planning Departments for the Bay Area Cities of Belmont and Los Altos Hills. His management roles spanned the full range and scale of development projects, and his municipal planning background includes project management of environmental issues and CEQA compliance, application of local planning codes, and partnership with Planning Commissions and City Councils.
Brian excels in project synthesis and communicating as an insider when working with local governments. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. While he joined the team in 2013, his experience with Shashi Group extends back to 2008 when he began working with the founders on entitlements for the Aloft Cupertino Hotel project. In 2016, Brian led Shashi Group’s effort to earn a coveted full City Council entitlement for its 200-room hotel in the North Bayshore District of Mountain View, a Precise Plan area.
Brian received his BS in City and Regional Planning from the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
