Joseph brings twenty-plus years of hospitality experience and passion to his Shashi sales role. Helping drive success at various iconic San Francisco properties, Joseph is honored to have served as the General Manager at the Union Square Villa Florence; the Sea Ranch Lodge, Lake Merced Golf Club, host of the annual LPGA Mediheal Championship, and the Pier 2620 Hotel on Fisherman’s Wharf.
Previously, Joseph helped promote the Okura and Nikko brands as the Vice President of Marketing for Hotel Nikko San Francisco. Besides all the marketing campaigns and initiatives, he oversaw Revenue Management, Group Sales, Catering and Convention Services, and Individual Business Travel, and Reservations for Union Square’s premier business hotel. Additionally, Joseph was serially tapped to leads projects for the Tokyo corporate office: guiding an audit of the Okura/Nikko Marketing Division, teaching Revenue Management for the Vietnam properties, and helping create the framework for the Okura Global Sales Organization.
A recognized leader in the industry, Joseph has taught Hotel Sales & Marketing courses at San Francisco State University, and was past president of the Northern California chapter of PCMA. A lifelong student, he has obtained an MBA from the University of San Francisco, graduating with Beta Gamma Sigma Honors, and currently sits on USF’s Hospitality Management Advisory Board. A strong advocate for giving back to the community, Joseph time and resources to the Center for Early Intervention of Deafness and San Francisco’s Support for Families.
