Ruben Barahona

Ruben started in hotels as a Night Audit Clerk over 23 years ago in a historic 1926 boutique hotel in downtown San Francisco, California. He ultimately found his passion in Sales. Since then, he has worked for large management companies like Aimbridge, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, and Highgate in San Francisco and greater Bay Area. He brings his collaborative spirit and years of experience having represented top tier brands within Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG and Wyndham as well as historic iconic boutique hotels like the Stanford Court on Nob Hill.   

Over the various deployments in his career, Ruben has shown his versatility and adaptability to drive revenue, marketing, and sales strategies across a wide range of markets and hotel products which have included a Regional Manager role overseeing a portfolio of 15 properties in California, Nevada, and Arizona. He's been recognized for various company and brand awards including Sales Team of the Year, Sales Leader of the Year and President's Circle awards from both management and brand hotel companies.    

A Bay Area native, he currently resides in Discovery Bay, California with his wife, Gunika and 5-year-old son Arian. He also adores and is very proud of having two adult kids, Alexis (27) and Anthony (23), who make him very proud. In his spare time, he loves to draw, spend time playing with his 5-year-old and taking his wife on date night. But you can also find him attending live games or watching the San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers on any given day of the week.
