Vimal Sebastian

Vimal Sebastian, Director of Operational Excellence, assists in overseeing the day to day operations of Shashi hotels. Vimal is responsible for the company's overall operational success including guest satisfaction metrics, contract negotiations, revenue management, leadership training and brand strategies. 

Vimal brings in an excellent background in luxury and Forbes five star/five diamond operations, having previously served in various senior leadership roles within organizations including Auberge Du Soleil in Napa Valley (Auberge Resorts Collection), The Clement Hotel in Palo Alto, Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Georgia and Stamford Plaza Hotels in New Zealand. His early passion for hospitality has helped him acquire global industry experience which spans across four countries including New Zealand, India, Canada and the United States. Under his leadership, organizations have achieved remarkable revenue success with increases in both ADR & RevPAR, market metric scores, successful property inspections from Forbes and LQA, and substantial growth in guest and associate satisfaction metrics. 

Early in his career, Vimal was a Starwood rooms recruit from university campus and had completed management training in New Zealand and the United States in various operational capacities including rooms, food & beverage, sales & marketing and revenue management departments. He has completed his bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality and Business Management from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand and has finished Post Graduate degree in International Business Entrepreneurship from George Brown College in Toronto, Canada. Vimal has recently graduated from Cornell University completing Advanced Revenue Management, specializing in market demand and pricing strategies. 

Vimal currently resides in Livermore, California with his wife and dog. Having lived in some of the most picturesque wine growing regions around the world, he has an exceptional palate for wine. He also enjoys various outdoor activities including hiking, camping and fishing.
